Abstract [en]

The paper focus on cyber weapons used in Advanced Persistent Threat (ATP) attacks in present and future cyber warfare. The combined use of propaganda and cyber warfare supports military operations on the ground and is exemplified with the ongoing Russian hybrid warfare in Ukraine. New models and methods to develop future trustworthy critical infrastructures in our societies are presented. Some mitigation ideas to meet the challenges of future hybrid warfare are also discussed. © 2017 IEEE.

Utmaningar och möjligheter med sensorbaserad användar empowerment
Abstract [en]

Sensor and sensor networks technology are becoming an increasingly important part of information management infrastructures. Challenges related to collection, processing, analysis and user-centric presentation depending of context are of particular interest. Furthermore, design and implementation of proper respond actions to sensor based information is gaining interest in many applications. In this paper we focus on robust application of sensor based systems. With robust we mean in this context supporting user empowerment and allowing adaptations. Two case studies of critical operations for individuals with cognitive impairments are presented. A comprehensive methodology supporting empowerment of users is outlined. The methodology includes ethnography-based analysis of workflows to identify user dependant barriers as a basis for design and implementation of mechanisms supporting empowerment. Identified challenges and opportunities of sensor based user empowerment is a contribution. Requirements engineering, from a user empowerments perspective including user specific barriers and sensor based information mechanisms, as a part of the systems developments process is another important contribution. User-centric training, as an important validation of implemented solutions in given context, is part of lessons learned. Sections on challenges and opportunities as well as of future work conclude the paper.

Abstract [en]

This paper explores the current context of collaboration between small local food producers. The aim is to facilitate the design and maintenance of trustworthy collaborative e-marketplaces containing clusters of SMEs. An ethnographic approach was used and data was collected through observations, interviews and questionnaires. Our findings reveal both drivers to exploit and barriers to harness enabling trustworthy collaboration. Our current test bed is based on a research and design context that lacks mechanisms for governance. To take full advantage of the drivers and to tackle the barriers in a fruitful way, there is a need for a flexible infrastructure that allow for structured requirements, contractual agreements and validation of proposed collaboration services. To address this, we take advantage of recent developments in cloud computing, more specifically the integration of Platform as a Service (PaaS) in the support system

Abstract [en]

Future Smart Grids have to meet high expectations from our societies on improved energy efficiency and sustainability. However, system uptake and acceptance will to a large extent depend on the perceived trust by different stakeholders. In the paper we address issues related to engineering of trustworthy systems. This type of Engineering will be grounded in reliable models of interoperability. A key issue is here interoperability of information exchange and sharing. Based on analysis of trust concerns, we propose a model of coordinating and monitoring by Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between stakeholders to ensure trustworthiness of system performance and behavior. We illustrate our methods on case related to trustworthy inclusion of DERs in Smart Grids.

Abstract [en]

Future powers system is considering huge flux of information flow due to increase in Renewable Energy Sources. Due to the limited monitoring and management of SCADA systems, inclusion of DER at local distribution level is a challenging task for the Smart Grid. We discuss the non-functional requirement aspects and their implication in trustworthy systems. The paper also illustrates an engineering approach towards trustworthy ICT systems. We present a use case about Injection/Curtailment of DER in distributed network. Further, we argue the importance of Service Level Agreements as coordination tool for information exchange between DSO and DER for the provisioning of trustworthy services. Finally conclude that modeling of SLA using Multi Agent Systems is a viable approach towards Trustworthy future Smart Grid applications.
