Abstract [sv]

Denna rapport presenterar en forskningsöversikt av stora kunskapsintensiva investeringar (SKI). Rapportens syfte är tudelat. För det första ska rapporten ge en kunskapsöversikt av orsaker och förutsättningar för SKI, samt potentiella positiva spridningseffekter till följd av SKI. För det andra ska rapporten sätta översikten i relation till vad forskningen säger kring den offentliga sektorns möjlighet att främja SKI samt vilka policyåtgärder som kan tänkas bidra till att realisera positiva spridningseffekter förknippade med SKI. Rapporten ska dessutom utveckla ett förslag på en empirisk tillämpning av definitionen, samt presentera en deskriptiv översikt av SKI i Sverige.

Abstract [en]

This report presents a definition of large knowledge-intensive investments (LKI). It then surveys research on the drivers as well as effects of LKI, and provides conclusions with regards to the conditions for, and role of, public policy in promoting such investments. The purpose is to provide the Swedish government with evidence and knowledge to support and develop the government’s work on supporting innovation and structural change of businesses in Sweden.
