Abstract [en]
Context. The Internet of Things (IoT) has a crucial role in our day-to-day life by controlling electronic gadgets utilizing networks. The controlling is done by observing the essential parameters and exchanging or
generating these electronic gadgets' information. This project's main con-text revolves around notifying the user when the postbox is opened by
using an electronic device developed in this project. Objectives. The main objective of this work is to detect the postbox lid movement by a device placed under the lid. The inertial measurement unit is a part of the device, which contains an accelerometer, gyroscope,
and magnetometer. In this thesis, the magnetometer detects the lid opening.
Methods. In this systematic review, a number of article sources are used, including Compendex, Inspec, IEEE Xplore, and ACM Digital Library, and studies are selected after reading titles and abstracts to decide whether the articles are peer-reviewed, and relevant to the subject. Magnetometersignal is used to detect the opening of the lid, where the signal value is compared to a threshold. After the opening is detected, a user is alerted by email Results. This prototype model is working perfectly, as the user is noticed through the Blynk app when someone opens the lid of the postbox. Future Work. We plan to develop and implement this work in thepostal services and the logistics departments. and more precisely that has been operating on a post/mailbox.
