Development of construction guidelines and methods for engineers with the goal of reducing spillage and waste in the production of 3D part (English)
Abstract [en]
Ecoist AB is a company within CAD engineers, as all other CAD engineers they want to optimize their methods of work when it comes to larger projects. With the use of 3D-printers and CAD the company is to produce a car with recycled parts. The company notices the difficulties that comes with larger projects and are struggling to find a solution to keep the project within the deadlines and budget that are set.
This exam work is with the help of Thomas Koch have researched to create new guidelines for CAD engineers to optimize their work when it comes to 3D printing of parts and map out the working process.
The guidelines which are based on the results of groups of test and analyzes that are the results of this exam work, shows that the major errors comes to how the CAD part is designed in solidworks which is the 3D drawing program for CAD engineers to draw different parts. Solidworks is used by a majority of the large corporate companies. The results show that the alignment and how the parts is drawn based to what horizontal axel is used has a major effect on how the finished part is going to print out. A large part of how to optimize the projects way to produce a part comes to the flowchart analyst
