The perfekt leader; A study of managers from five emploeeys point of view (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract Thou there are much written about management, are there, according to Mintzberg no simple definitions regarding how managers should operate towards other co-workers or employees. This essay outlines a perspective for study of managers, from an employees point of view. The study was preformed at one private company, and the empirical data was gathered from five employees. The methodological approach contained qualitative methods based on semi-structured interviews. By using this method, a deeper understanding regarding the questions was desired. The purpose of the study was to delineate employees expectations on managers based on the RONS-model. A sample of a question included in the questioner was, what do you expect from a manager? The interviews showed a consistency regarding their expectancy towards manager, and how managers should operate. The informants all believed that a manager should operate with evident instructions. He should also be certain but friendly. The result of the interviews showed as well that employees expect that managers know everything about the company. As one informant said: “if the manager doesn’t know, how knows”. The RONS-model was used to find out which managerial behaviour employees desired. RONS-model includes four different managerial behaviours. The conlusion of this essay, according to the five employees outlines that a manager should be able to variate between these four managerial behaviors.
