In this thesis an electronically controlled movable chair is designed to be connected to the door of a shower. A bathroom model was created using Autodesk Inventor, and materials were researched and selected for modeling before doing a static simulation. A dynamic simulation was then carried out to simulate the vertical motion of the chair; the driving torque was generated at the same time. Based on the driving torque, a direct current motor which connects with a system controlling the vertical direction movement of the chair was designed and built.
