Abstract [sv]

The purpose of this study was to investigate how people with insecure employment affect the psychological contract in the perspective of workers' experience. The questions in this study were: how does a person with insecure employment perceive the psychological contract and what consequences dose an insecure employment have on the psychological contract. The study was a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews. The results showed that the absent relationship that existed between the participants and the employer was assumed to be affected by insecure employment. The result revealed that one of the consequences was falling confidence and less support to the employer as an effect of insecure employment and psychological contract. The study also showed that the experience of a psychological contract break is reduced thanks to the high job satisfaction. The psychological contract was experienced as problematic in absent, due to the absent relationship with the employer, thanks to imbalance between the promise and commitment. The discoveries made in the study was that job insecurity has a negative impact on the relationship with the employer and the high level of job satisfaction counteracts experienced psychological contract break.

Abstract [en]

Studiens syfte var att undersöka hur anställningsformen otrygg anställning påverkar det psykologiska kontraktet och då utifrån de otryggt anställdas upplevelse. Frågeställningarna i studien var: hur upplevs det psykologiska kontraktet för en otryggt anställd och vilka konsekvenser har en otrygg anställning på det psykologiska kontraktet. Studien hade en kvalitativ metod med halvstrukturerade intervjuer. Resultatet visade att den frånvarande relationen som fanns mellan deltagarna och arbetsgivaren orsakades av den otrygga anställningen. Personer med en otrygg anställning visade sig bland annat ha minskat förtroende och stöd till sin arbetsgivare. Studien visade också att upplevelsen av ett psykologiskt kontraktsbrott minskas tack vare den höga arbetstillfredsställelsen. Det psykologiska kontraktet upplevdes tack vare den frånvarande relationen till arbetsgivaren som problematiskt eftersom det fanns obalans mellan löfte och åtagande. De fynd som gjordes i studien var att otrygganställning har en negativ inverkan på relationen till arbetsgivaren och att den höga arbetstillfredsställelsen motverkar upplevt psykologiskt kontraktsbrott.
