Abstract [en]

This correspondence treats the problem of finding the Wiener filters for a wide-band adaptive beamformer. Explicit expressions are given for the filte rs and error power spectrum in the frequency domain. The expressions are si mple to program and give the possibility of investigating superresolution f or wide-band signals and of determining sufficient lengths of the FIR filte rs in adaptive arrays. Further, approximative analytic expressions of the 3 -dB resolution of broad-band arrays are presented.
