Performance Evaluation of the Bluetooth Link for Indoor Propagation by Measurement Trials and FEMLAB Simulations
Responsible organisation

Abstract [en]

In this paper, we investigate the wave propagation and link quality of the Bluetooth wireless short range communication system in LOS office environments and assess its performance by employing various omindirectional and directive antennas. The measurement results show that the antenna type and its parameters have a huge impact on the quality and coverage of the Bluetooth link. We will also confirm some of the measurement results and observations by using FEMLAB simulation of the same building.
