Abstract [en]

This study investigates the impact of behavioral impulses, specifically corruption perception and government effectiveness, on macroeconomic stability through fiscal transmission channels. A Vector Autoregression (VAR) model was used to analyze the impulse responses of key macroeconomic indicators, including tax revenues, state budget expenditures, and GDP per capita, to shocks in corruption perception and governance quality. The findings reveal that improvements in corruption perception initially boost tax revenues and economic growth but have diminishing effects over time, emphasizing the need for sustained policy enforcement. In contrast, government effectiveness has a delayed but more persistent impact on fiscal stability. The study challenges the greasing-the-wheels hypothesis, demonstrating that corruption weakens rather than facilitates economic efficiency. The study contributes to the literature on behavioral economics by demonstrating that public trust, shaped by corruption control and effective governance, plays a more pivotal role in maintaining macroeconomic stability than the previously acknowledged indicators of individual well-being.

Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 marked a profound disruption of the prevailing European security paradigm, which had long deprioritized large-scale conventional warfare. This shock not only revived defense policy across Europe but also catalyzed an urgent reconfiguration of Ukraine’s own defense capabilities, most notably, the emergence of a vibrant domestic drone industry. This paper examines the evolution of Ukraine’s drone sector through the framework of “reluctant innovations”, where technological advancement is driven not by long-term strategy or commercial ambition but by the immediate demands of existential threats. While pre-war strengths in tech education and a robust IT workforce provided a foundation, the industry growth was propelled by several key drivers: widespread civilian and volunteer mobilization, fast-tracked government reforms, targeted procurement incentives, enforced capital retention, and foreign partnerships that facilitated technology transfer. Together, these forces activated a decentralized innovation ecosystem that bridged military and civilian spheres. Ukraine’s experience illustrates a hybrid model of defense innovation, where necessity has spurred civilian entrepreneurship and state support to create a highly responsive war economy. This case offers broader insights into how societies can rapidly pivot toward technological self-reliance under extreme geopolitical pressure.

Abstract [en]

The concept of trust has been extensively explored by governments, researchers, and academic communities focusing on public authorities and the financial system, albeit in separate contexts. Trust plays a vital role in both sectors, influencing various aspects of governance, economic stability, and societal well-being. However, the relationship and interdependencies between trust in the government and trust in the financial system remain relatively unexplored. In addressing this gap, this study aims to improve the understanding of the role of trust in the socio-economic system and provide a framework for analysing the complex causal mechanisms between developments in the financial and public sectors using trust concepts. To achieve this, the study adopts the Fuzzy Cognitive Mapping (FCM) method in combination with the fuzzy Delphi method (FDM) as the methodological approach. The results highlight that even a small decline in trust can have severe repercussions on the stability of the financial system, deposit levels, exchange rate stability, and the prevalence of non-performing loans. Additionally, violations of trust in the financial sector also impact the development of the public sector, resulting in decreased trust in the government, fiscal stability, tax revenues, and government bond purchases. The study also demonstrated that when trust in both the financial sector and the government is eroded simultaneously, the complexities and the extent of negative consequences are amplified. These findings emphasize the interconnected nature of trust dynamics in both sectors and underscore the importance of a comprehensive approach to addressing trust-related challenges.

Abstract [en]

The accomplishment of sustainable development goals has become a global initiative to encourage renewable energy, reduce wasteful energy consumption and increase investment in energy efficiency projects. The number of publications devoted to sustainable development, environmental protection and green investments is growing exponentially. Firstly, this study is committed to provide a comprehensive overview of research literature on enterprise development in decades-long, focusing on the sustainable development and business environment field. Secondly, it seeks to elaborate the most comprehensive structural model examining the multilateral and facilitative role of internal and external business environment changes in the relationship between sustainable development and enterprise development. A bibliometric analysis via VOSviewer was applied to detect and visualize the research trends and display the research status of enterprise development under the changes in the business environment and sustainable development. A confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were performed to develop, implement and verify a conceptual structural model examining the multilateral and facilitative role of internal and external business environment changes in the relationship between sustainable development and enterprise development. Mapping bibliographic data based on co-citation, co-occurrence, bibliographic coupling, and network and content analysis showed that generally, researchers had made significant efforts to investigate different links that arise between enterprises development, sustainable development, and business environment separately in different combinations. Structural equation modeling showed that the argument that sustainable development directly causes enterprise development is disputable since sustainable development focuses on changes in the internal and external business environment that eventually influence enterprise development, which in turn leads to a further new shift in the external environment.

Abstract [en]

Trust in public services is a driving force of socio-economic development. It ensures effective dialogue between citizens and government and becomes especially relevant in the digitalization. The lack of trust in the public sector can make reforms ineffective and the achievement of the goals of the Ministry of Digital Transformation within the framework of the State Strategy for Regional Development of Ukraine until 2027 in question. For this reason, marketing tools in public services should be directed toward achieving greater trust in those services and the government. This paper analyzes the current research on public sector marketing and its role in building trust as a foundation for the country’s digital development. Implementing multi-level bibliometric (Scopus tools), network (VOSviewer), and comparative (Google Trends) analysis, this study traces the development of marketing research on the process of public services delivery transformation from traditional to digital. 922 studies published between 1968 and 2022 were analyzed. The results show that public sector marketing is a multidisciplinary field of scientific research that is actively developing. Cluster analysis demonstrated that its modernization and the relationship between marketing in services and consumer behavior are the smallest and newest spheres of research. Researchers consider relationship marketing the principal mechanism for building trust in the public sector. This study found little research on the impact of marketing tools on consumers’ trust in public services. The comparative analysis confirmed the hypothesis of the need to change marketing tools due to the massive shift from offline to online services. © Veronika Litovtseva, Dariusz Krawczyk, Aleksandra Kuzior, Maryna Brychko, Tetiana Vasylieva, 2022.

Abstract [en]

The challenges faced by trust in the financial sector over the past thirty years remain unprecedent-ed. Recent developments in financial technologies, blockchain, risk assessments have led to a renewed interest and rapid growth in the number of academic publications on trust in the financial domain. A number of literature reviews have been published focusing on specific aspects and trends of trust in the financial sector. However, far too little attention has been given to developing a global vision of academic knowledge about trust in the financial sector from a statistical perspective. This study was de-signed to provide insights and updates that have not yet been fully understood or described by other re-views in the domain of trust in the financial system by applying a thorough bibliometric (Scopus tools, Google Trends) and network (VOSviewer) analysis. In this study, the authors proposed a multi-level structured bibliometric analysis process that clearly defines the research stages, taking into account the selection of keywords for searching and the exclusion of irrelevant academic works. A total of 1,148 academic studies published between 1967 and 2020 were analyzed, covering 364 authors, 158 journals, and 101 countries. By applying rigorous bibliometric and network tools, established and emergent re-search clusters were identified based on key research topics and interrelations. With the help of built-in tools of the Scopus scientometric base, the main stages of scientific interest in the trust in the financial sector were determined. This research's main findings showed that trust in the financial sector is one of the most multidisciplinary phenomena, and keywords such as human, economy, financial management, finance, organization and management, private sector, public sector are closely related. The research results perform a robust roadmap for further consideration in this area.
