By using time geography life charts, the students and their supervisors will have the opportunity to develop their ability to identify and understand the connection between how social and stressful events during a life course affect a person's mental health but also with a salutogenic approach. The relational attribute in psychiatric care and nursing is to build a relationship between the caregiver that is therapeutic, supporting, empowering and characterized by closeness and sincerity.

Time- geographic life chart might be a helpful tool for achieving this because you listen to the patient’s narrative story. The life chart offers a comprehensive and structured picture of the patient’s life and makes the patients take part in their care. Through focus group interviews, we evaluate students' experiences of using Time Geography in psychiatric nursing care. We also analyse the time geographic life charts to identify social and stressful events during the patient's life course.
